Working on the shapeshifting mechanic now. Medium can absorb the shape of dead creatures he finds along the way, gaining their physical attributes and becoming more resilient (though still being vulnerable to light).

Also had the interesting idea of allowing Medium to discard his forms as a means of leaving a physical object behind to, for example, keep a button pressed. I still need to think about it though.
